Coventry is one of 5 shortlisted cities bidding to become the UK City of Culture in 2021 and we are delighted to back the bid.
Morelli Group moved to Coventry in 2001 following the takeover of a local company. As part of a national chain of automotive refinishing supply branches, Coventry soon established itself as one of our strongest branches.
The excellent links with the motor industry mean that there are plenty of opportunities within our sector and we have forged ties with Peugeot Citroen, Jaguar, Land Rover, Aston Martin and many other spin off businesses around the Midlands, as well as servicing most of the accident repair centres locally.
In 2014, we entered into a joint venture project with local company XL Motors to open a training centre at their Eyebox Training & Conference facility in Longford. This has proved to be a major success, attracting delegates from across our industry.
Coventry’s excellent links with the rest of the country, not just by road but by rail and air too make this the best place in the UK in our opinion to have a Training Centre. Whilst our HQ is still based in the South, most of our meetings and conferences are now held at our Training Centre as this is the go-to venue of choice for our delegates from around the country.
Ruth Moring-Beale, National Sales Director says “As a company that has seen the regeneration of Coventry as vital to our growing business, we felt that getting involved in the Bid was the best way that we could show our support for a city that has become instrumental in our growth plans going forward and that has provided us with so many opportunities. Let’s make being sent to Coventry the best thing ever!”
